However, today too many people feel that laughter is child's play and life too serious to chuckle. But hark! Ye potential non-believers and read on. Recent studies are beginning to demonstrate that laughter can elevate moods, aid creativity, decrease stress, boost the immune system, decrease pain and burn calories!How can you ward off "hardening of the attitude," winter blues, stress fatigue and martyrdom? Join the de Nicola Center for Women's Health and the Institute for the Study of Human Knowledge for two-laugh-filled programs with Loretta LaRoche. Who is that!? Loretta LaRoche is a short woman who thinks tall! As president of The Humor Potential and director of Wellness Associates, a Massachusetts firm which offers seminars and lectures on humor and healing, stress management and motivational techniques, she has lectured and entertained all over the country. She is a graduate of Hofstra University in speech therapy and communications and has certifications in behavioral modification, hypnosis, and attitudinal modification. Her special talents lie in her funny, sensitive, and very relevant presentation on how to use laughter to cope with modern day stresses and build self-esteem.
