ETHICAL DECISION MAKING IN THERAPY
Feminist Perspectives

Elizabeth J. Rave and Carolyn C. Larsen (Eds.)
Guilford Publications, 1995

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: After reading this book, the reader should understand some implications of the application of clear but abstract ethical principles in the real world of therapy, especially from a feminist perspective.

Topics include labeling and diagnosis; money issues (including those that arise in managed health care); client-therapist overlapping relationships; violence against women; health and reproductive issues; special concerns in treating children and older women; and balancing therapist self-care with clients' needs.

Elizabeth J. Rave, Ed.D., is Professor Emeritus of School Psychology and Women's Studies at the University of Northern Colorado, and is one of the founding members of the Feminist Therapy Institute.

Carolyn C. Larsen, Ph.D., Senior Counsellor Emeritus and former Director of the University Counselling Services, is Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
